Many of the best things in Sarah's life have come from rock climbing, including Kalyn. Sarah met Kalyn rock climbing the very first week of college. Their friendship has evolved from climbing to outdoor trips, wild nights out, craft nights in, to being roommates, to going to music festivals, to whatever is to come next. There is no one else in the world Sarah would rather share a middle name with!

Many people find rolemodels in celebrities, professional athletes, or business leaders and yet others find rolemodels in their friends. Liam is, and always will be, one of those rolemodels for Austin. As both colleagues and friends, Liam and Austin have spent years together creating boulders, making fart jokes, and trying to understand obscure quotes from early 2000s movies. The biggest crime Liam has committed in his friendship with Austin is moving out of state, but Liam made sure their air mattress is extra squeaky just for Austin and Sarah to visit.

If you see Sarah on her phone during her own wedding, she's probably playing online Dominion with Caroline. One of the few people Sarah could hang out with for days on end, Caroline is always down to play a new board game, bake a new recipe, or go somewhere new. Caroline has a huge heart and a habit of finding animals in need, and therefore has a home zoo of 11 total dogs, cats, and a gecko.

Fun fact, in Lao culture, the eldest twin is actually the one born second because the older sibling always lets the younger sibling go first. As the 'older' sibling to Austin, Ben has humbly accepted the role as officiant. Ben has been a true constant in Austin's life and his role as officiant is befitting of the love and respect Austin has for Ben.

Sarah loves Madison as much as Madison loves Percy Jackson, probably. On one of their adventures, Madison and Sarah found a puppy which has since become a forever member of Madison's family with her husband, Liam (best man). The biggest crime Madison has committed in her friendship with Sarah is moving out of state, but it has just made time with Madison all the more special.

Everyone dreams of having an exemplary older brother like Brandon is to Austin and Ben. Having been described as one of the "chillest" doctors in all of existence, Brandon has always been a cool, calm, and collected member of the family. That is except for the times when he shouts meme songs at the top of his lungs for months on end, or when he stress crams entire months of online classes into one or two nights, or when he finds a really not-that-funny inside joke with you and proceeds to tell it to you for the next 20 years (somehow making it way more funny than it deserves to be). Having recently graduated from his residency, Dr. Brandon Sivoravong is ready to write under the table prescriptions for just about anyone (just kidding).

One of Sarah's favorite things about Laura is her tradition of hiding weird objects in Sarah's home every time she visits. The one time Sarah tried to do it back and hide something weird in Laura's home, she noticed in under an hour. Laura can hold an engaging conversation about literally anything and is a wealth of kindness, humor, and random facts. Much like the crows she loves, Laura is wicked smart, multitalented, and a collector of strange, shiny things.

Eric and Austin met in 1st grade...or was it 3rd grade? The point is, Eric and Austin go way back. Often considered an unofficial triplet of Ben and Austin, Eric shares his love of videogames, rock climbing, and nature with Ben and Austin. To date, Eric and Austin's most impressive (and most embarrassing) achievement is their combined 7000 hours playing league of legends together. And while life and work have taken Eric across the country, Eric's habit of calling his old friends anytime he has to drive more than 20min somewhere keeps them close.

After Sarah and Avery spent years in grad school, unpaid internships, and working 6am shifts together, their relationship as classmates and coworkers became a lasting, important friendship in Sarah's life. Avery is a generous, loving person who grows Sarah both professionally and personally every day. Some of Sarah's fondest memories with Avery involve her affinity for elaborate murder mystery parties, her love for her cat Nibbles, and a strange knack for somehow repeatedly spilling sugar in her car.

Tucker and Austin share a toxic, codependent relationship called 'being friends with your boss.' It's hard to draw a line between the work relationship and the friendship that Austin and Tucker share, but it's in that blurred line that their friendship truly shines. Having shared adventures across the country from the climbing mecca of Salt Lake City, to pristine Virginia Beach, to the 'wrong side of the river' in Shreveport, LA, Austin and Tucker have grown close both as friends and professional colleagues. If you gotta work for someone, you might as well work for one of your closest friends.

Sarah's younger brother. Evan is the most likely to hold up family board game night by taking 30 minutes to think through his turn. The most likely to travel the world learning all the languages he can. The most likely to defy the laws of physics making his gingerbread house during the holidays each year. Evan is Sarah's wonderful, smart, annoying friend for life and she wouldn't have it any other way.

As the resident 'Dad' of the friend group Willard fulfills his fatherly duties by having a passion for whiskey and beer, engaging in long debates about life, and generally taking care of everyone around him. Willard and Austin work, game, and drink together, all great foundations for a lasting friendship.

Sarah's youngest brother. You can typically find Alex by the sound of the drumming shaking the entire house. Otherwise, he's usually coding, gaming, or traveling around the country getting an impressive sock tan with Drum Corps International. Every time Sarah wants snacks at home, Alex has already finished all of them. Maybe someday she will forgive him, since they have the rest of their lives as siblings and friends.

One of Austin's resident young friends, Sam reminds Austin that there was once a life without back pain and stiff joints. Sam and Austin met through rock climbing almost a decade ago and even routeset together for a time. While Austin and Sam don't work together anymore, they still find time to split a bottle of wine while they play super smash bros and talk about life.

Another of Austin's resident young friends, Brandon reminds Austin that there was once a life where you could stay up until 3am and wake up at 6am ready to tackle the world. Brandon was Austin's first mentee in routesetting, and in exchange for teaching Brandon how to routeset, Brandon keeps Austin up to date on modern slang and viral memes.
